Cruise For A Cause Raises Funds for Marine Education
ST. AUGUSTINE, Florida (March 4, 2025) – Jessica Jadick has always been passionate about the natural world. Through her business, Florida Water Tours, she shares her love for the ocean and its inhabitants with passengers on her vessels, Island Breeze and Osprey. A firm believer in early exposure to marine science, Florida Water Tours is dedicated to making these experiences accessible to all children, creating the next generation of marine scientists and environmentalists. Cruise For A Cause raises funds for Florida Water Warriors, a 501c(3) with a mission to provide equitable marine science education for all.
“In our day-to-day operations, we see the impact of spending time on the water and learning about the natural ecosystem,” shares Jadick, Owner of Florida Water Tours. “The goal with Florida Water Warriors is to share that experience with school-aged children, no matter their financial situation. Our trips allow kids to be scientists for a day. These hands-on experiences build confidence, create an understanding of the world, and show children the importance of a well-balanced and protected ecosystem.”
Cruise For A Cause is a fundraising event designed to unite the community through the shared goals of education and conservation. On Saturday, March 29th, all Florida Water Tours departures will directly benefit Florida Water Warriors, with 100% of ticket proceeds going to the charity. Funds will also be raised through the Cruise For A Cause Silent Auction in the Florida Water Tours shop, The Salty Boutique. Cruise For A Cause departures on March 29th include, a family-friendly eco cruise, Dolphin & Wildlife Adventure, departing at 10am, 12pm, 2pm, and 4:30pm; an adults-only Wine Tasting Cruise at 4:30pm; and an adults-only Sunset Cruise at 6:30pm on both the Osprey vessel and Island Breeze. Light refreshments and charcuterie are provided on the adults-only evening cruises. Cruises depart from Dock A-23 and Dock A-24 at Windward at Camachee Cove Yacht Harbor. Sponsorship opportunities for Cruise For A Cause and Florida Water Warriors are still available.
