ST. AUGUSTINE, Florida (April 25, 2024) – After a lifetime spent on and in the water, sisters Jessica and Riley realized there’s one thing that makes a day on the water even better – food! And the more portable, the better. With Jessica already running the successful Florida Water Tours and Riley fresh out of college with a passion for culinary innovation, it was only natural for them to create their very own al fresco food outfit. Floating Food Company, located in the Camachee Cove Yacht Harbor Marina at 107 Yacht Club Drive in St. Augustine, is changing the game when it comes to gourmet food for adventures.
“We knew we wanted it to be more than your basic sub or sandwich,” says Jessica Jadick, co-owner of Floating Food Company. “When you’re grabbing something to eat while you’re boating or hitting the beach, it’s nice to have good food that nourishes the body and soul – why not treat yourself, right?! Our gourmet boxes and nutritious smoothies are the perfect meal for people on the go and ready to explore. And our biodegradable and recyclable packaging ensures you’re leaving the world a better place.”
Floating Food Company focuses on using fresh, sustainable ingredients. Their popular graze boxes are offered in four styles:
· Charcuterie Box: An artful selection of meats, cheeses, fresh and seasonal dried fruit, nuts, olives, crackers, and savory spread. It is also offered in a mini size.
· Brunch Box: Stuffed with Belgian waffles, bagels, cream cheese, hard-boiled eggs, croissant sandwich, fresh fruit, pastries, and gourmet fruit spread.
· Star Grazer Box: Salty meets sweet with chocolate-dipped pretzels and fruit, gourmet chocolates and desserts, seasonal fruit, charcuterie skewers, and nuts.
· Dessert Box: Tuck into a selection of pastries, chocolates, fresh fruit with dipping chocolate, cookies, and cakes.
The boxes are offered as an optional amenity on Florida Water Tours cruises and available for purchase at Spinster Abbott’s, a quirky bodega and taproom in Uptown St. Augustine, as well as an add-on for cocktail classes held at the St. Augustine Distillery. Their delectable graze boxes can be upgraded to full-blown trays for the most delicious and unique catering your guests have experienced. They offer Brunch, Charcuterie, Sandwich Boards, and Dessert Boards in a variety of sizes to curb all appetites, plus gourmet add-ons like Chicken ‘n Waffle Bites, Kalua Pulled Pork Sliders, and Loaded Hummus Boats. Catering can be picked up or delivered offsite or enhance a private cruise on one of Florida Water Tours’ comfortable vessels.
