LADIES INTERNATIONAL POKER SERIES LANDS AT BESTBEST JACKSONVILLE SEPT 20TH
JACKSONVILLE, Florida (September 13, 2024)—Founded in 2004, the Ladies International Poker Series (LIPS Tour) is the first, longest-running, and most popular poker tour for women. And it’s coming to Jacksonville from September 20th through September 22nd as part of the 2024 Florida State Ladies Poker Championship Series. The LIPS Tour was established as a way for women to learn, practice, and excel at the game and, most importantly, provide opportunities for women to form bonds and friendships while playing poker. The event begins September 19th with the $580 No-Limit Hold’em MEGA Satellite into bestbet’s WPT Championship event in November. September 20th kicks off with the LIPS Warm Up, followed by the Meet Up Game, with a feature table on bestbetLIVE. The action continues with the Main Event on September 21st and 22nd, broadcast on bestbetLIVE. Men are invited to the table for the KINGS & QUEENS event on September 22nd, with a trophy for the top man and woman. Players must register in person at bestbet Jacksonville. Spectators are welcome during live-streamed matches. The tournament's highlight is a Q & A Session with the legendary tournament hosts Linda Johnson and Jan Fisher on September 21st at 11am. Nicknamed the “First Lady of Poker,” Linda is known for being one of just a handful of women playing professionally in Las Vegas and the owner and publisher of Card Player magazine. She is a Partner in Card Player Cruises, Member of the Poker Hall of Fame, Women in Poker Hall of Fame, WPT Boot Camp Instructor, Tournament Directors Association board member, WSOP bracelet winner, and in the World Poker Tour Honors Club. Jan started her career as a poker dealer, but quickly switched seats to the other side of the table. An inductee in the Women in Poker Hall of Fame, she has touched all aspects of the game, including playing, broadcasting, event coordination, and co-founding the Poker Tournament Directors Association.
