DRIFTERS Partners With City of St. Augustine for New City Bike Share Program
ST. AUGUSTINE, Florida (February 21, 2025) – Since 2017, DRIFTERS has offered delivery-based bikes and beach items in St. Augustine Beach and beyond. Owner Ian Guthrie is excited to partner with the City of St. Augustine to make getting around town easier and more enjoyable. The DRIFTERS City Bike Share program is designed to reduce traffic congestion while showcasing local businesses. Strategically placing bikes and stations near unique shops, restaurants, and landmarks creates a self-guided tour experience highlighting everything St. Augustine has to offer. “This program connects residents and visitors directly to the heart of the community, making it simple to explore and support small businesses,” Guthrie shares. “For local businesses, sponsoring a City Bike Share station is a great way to increase visibility and become part of the journey—literally.”
DRIFTERS’ new City Bike Share program is the chance to be part of something transformative for St. Augustine. Launching in 2026, this initiative is set to improve mobility, reduce congestion, and drive customers directly to local businesses. With 14 strategically placed stations and 100 custom-designed bikes crafted in partnership with Priority Bicycles, this program prioritizes safety, comfort, and reliability. With over 300,000 residents in St. Johns County alone and millions of annual visitors, sponsorship comes with constant exposure.
With three sponsorship levels, businesses can enjoy premium visibility and direct exposure to both residents and visitors. But this program offers more than just advertising benefits. Sponsorship helps sustain this community-focused initiative while promoting St. Augustine’s vibrant small business scene. DRIFTERS is looking for pillars of the community to help build a greener, more connected city, create more diversified mobility options to alleviate traffic congestion, and strengthen the local economy.
Sponsors will benefit from dedicated signage on the rental station tower sign and on all three sides of each bike basket assigned to each sponsor’s station. They will also be featured within the rental app, on the website, in news and media pick-ups and advertising, and on social media with posts, reels, and story highlights. Each sponsorship level offers lifetime sponsorship recognition. For more information or to sponsor a station, please contact Ian Guthrie at 904-315-6150 or email at Hello@DriftersCityBike.com.
