PROVIDENCE HOMES WINS NATIONAL HOUSING INNOVATION AWARD 3 YEARS RUNNING

JACKSONVILLE, Florida (August 27, 2024) – For the third year in a row, Providence Homes has been selected as a 2024 Housing Innovation Award Winner. This prestigious national award recognizes energy-efficient home building, and is awarded by the U.S. Department of Energy as a part of its Zero Energy Ready Home (ZERH) program. ZERH is a certification with rigorous requirements that ensure outstanding levels of energy savings, comfort, health, and durability — and it signifies a high-performance home so energy efficient it offsets most or all of its annual energy usage. Providence Homes also won the award in 2022 for its Royal Model at Kettering at eTown and in 2023 for its Manatee Model in Kettering at eTown. This year, the homebuilder is being awarded for its Alberta model in Seabrook Village at Nocatee. These Providence Homes boast such a low average monthly energy bill, homeowners save hundreds of dollars a year. And the benefits don’t stop there. ZERH homes have better indoor air quality, ENERGY STAR appliances, high performance windows, optimized insulation, water protection, and so much more.

“We are so pleased to be selected as a U.S. Department of Energy Housing Innovation Award Winner, again!” says Sean Junker, President and COO of Providence Homes. “Our company has an enduring dedication to sustainability, quality, and efficiency. We’re proud to be leaders in the housing industry constructing more healthy and resilient homes in Florida.” Homes selected for the Housing Innovation Award meet performance criteria set by the DOE ZERH national program, and each home is verified by a qualified third-party as part of the certification process.
